International Student Housing Kortrijk

Is it possible to go on internship or Erasmus

while renting a room ?

YES !

At Student Housing Kortrijk you will have no worries about participating in an international exchange or internship program.

Student Housing Kortrijk is still the only landlord in Kortrijk which has a flexible lease that allows degree students to reduce their rental period in case of an exchange or internship program.

You can easily reduce your rental period of 12 MONTHS to only 5 MONTHS, and continue your nomadic education elsewhere.

This is very much appreciated by the students, and most of all by the parents who can welcome this extra financial support for their sons and daughters.

Can I rent for a short period ?

YES !

Student Housing Kortrijk rents mainly to degree students which have a year contract. As these degree students are allowed to reduce their rental period for exchanges and internships, there is a new availability for short term rentals.

Among others, we accept Erasmus exchange, internships in multiple companies of our region and internships at the medical hospital of Kortrijk AZ Groeninge.

How to book a room ?

The first step is to contact us and ask what rooms are available. Don't forget to tell us for what period you will need a student accommodation. You can also mention which university in Kortrijk you will be attending to and what you will be studying.

Sometimes it is possible that there is no immediate availablity. Then we put you on a waiting list. As soon as there is availability, we will inform you and provide you all the necessary information.

When you can agree with the terms we will guide you further through the booking procedure.

What happens in case of cancellation ?

Sometimes multiple problems have to be solved before departure.  University registrations, Visa applications, Housing contracts, etc....

Student accommodation for international students is limited and difficult in Kortrijk, therefore students are advised to book early.

Since many years we apply a 100% Refund Policy. This allows you to book a room on time and to have financial security in case something cancels your adventure.

How to receive the keys ?

Handing over the keys and moving into your room is preferably on weekdays during normal daytime. That is between 9.00h and 18.00h. In case your arrival is anyway late or in a weekend, we might propose you some B&B’s or hotels in Kortrijk. Share asap your flight details with us, so we know what day and time you will arrive.

Important !

Book a flight with a good arrival time.

Flight tickets with late arrival in the evening or in the weekend are sometimes cheaper but implicates that you might have to book a hotel which will cost you extra.

Can I move in earlier ?   Or can I move out later ?

SOMETIMES !

We can understand the situation of students in these cases.

We try to be flexible and find a solution but that is not always possible.

The fee for an extra stay is 30% of the monthly rent for every extra week that has started. (7 days, 6 nights)

If it is not possible for a student to stay in his dedicated room, then we can provide another room that is temporarily available.

If it is not possible to find a temporarily solution within our accommodations then we will propose you some hostels or hotels in Kortrijk to bridge the situation.

Can i get help at arrival in Belgium ?

SURE !

Share your flight details with us and we will assist you as you set foot on Belgian soil. At the Kortrijk train station we will pick you up by car to drive you to your new place.

How good is the internet ?

VERY GOOD !

As lots of our students are DAE students, good internet is very important. The internet in our student houses is the best available on the market.

All students can benefit of a very good internet system in their room. High speed downloading and unlimited volume capacity.
